The Zurich Scottish Country Dancing Club
The Zurich Scottish Country Dancing Club, which is affiliated to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, was founded in 1963. It currently has about 30 members, around a dozen of whom attend regularly.
We normally meet twice a month to dance, on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, except in July and part of August. The dates of these regular meetings are given on the meetings page, along with the rota for teaching.
Meetings take place at the St Andrew's Church Community Centre,

Beginners are more than welcome. All you need is a pair of comfortable, soft-soled shoes and a willingness to join in.
If anyone - beginner or otherwise - would like to come to learn and improve their technique before the evening proper begins, they are welcome, but could you please contact Chris beforehand if you wish to do so. Please also check the meetings page first, to see whether there will be any technique practice on a particular evening.
Every second year or so we organise a weekend course with a Scottish Ball. The last one took place in November 2015 with teacher Pat Houghton and musicians Muriel Johnstone and Ian Robertson. The next one will be in November 2017. Click on the November links on the left to find out more.
